The Health & Wellness Center Registered Nurse can provide guidance for health issues and concerns, first aid assistance for cuts and sprains, assistance with insurance claims, immunization guidance and assistance, and can link students to local health care resources.

Twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays from Noon until 1:30 PM, the health center also has a Physician Assistant (P.A.) available for minor health concerns.  The P.A. does not provide primary care services, but can serve as a bridge to other health care, and can prescribe medications or treatments for acute illness and injuries.  Students who require ongoing care are referred for follow-up.

Students who have chronic medical issues can typically receive local fills of prescription medications from local pharmacies, from their own primary care physician.

There is no charge for a visit to the health office, but students are responsible for off-campus costs, including laboratory work, x-rays, pharmaceuticals, supplies, and injections.
