Dalton Hall - Slip Outta Here

I’ll slip outta here while you slam doors off of hinges
And throw dirt in each other’s eyes, held wide
Yet seeing nothing they ever should.
I’ll slip outta here when you raise your voice
Along with your fist and go blind
Knowing this isn’t the first or the last time.
I’ll slip outta here while you sleep, toiling in bad dreams,
Almost certain you’ve seen it all,
Not even knowing I’ll be gone.
I’ll slip outta here because you can’t hold your tongues
Or find a brain cell between the two of you,
Lest you be wasting time with asinine arguments
And I’ll just hope it turns out alright,
Because I cleaned the house
And if there’s blood on the floor when I get back
I’m not calling 911.
