JCC Announces Promotions and Continuing Appointments

Jefferson Community College (JCC) has announced continuing appointments, promotions and sabbatical leaves for faculty and staff.  Continuing appointments, promotions and sabbatical leaves were approved by the Jefferson Community College Board of Trustees on March 4, 2015 and become effective September 1, 2015.

Continuing appointment was granted to the following faculty and staff:  Trevor J. Bradish, instructor of mathematics, of Lowville; Carlton Fisher, instructor of English, of Watertown; Marlene P. Johnson, education coordinator-nursing, of Dexter; John S. Northrop, technical specialist-athletics, of Watertown; Tricia M. Richardson, technical specialist-student records, of Carthage; Dawn M. Robinson, instructor of business, of Theresa; Charles F. Ruggiero Jr., education coordinator-public safety, Watertown; Julie R. Soule, assistant professor of nursing, of Lacona; and Gabrielle M. Thompson, director-TRIO program, of Watertown.

Trevor J. Bradish, Lowville, was promoted from instructor to assistant professor of mathematics.  Carlton Fisher, Watertown, was promoted from instructor to assistant professor of English. Dawn M. Robinson, Theresa, was promoted from instructor to assistant professor of business.  Kimberly G. Sell, Theresa, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of physical education.  Pamela F. Smith, Newton Falls, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of mathematics. Todd C. Vincent, Adams Center, was promoted from associate professor to professor of biology. 

The following staff received promotion from Grade 1 to Grade 3: Mariya Clemons, Copenhagen, assistant counselor-financial aid; Pamela J. Dixon, Hammond, technical specialist-public relations; Sarah O’Connell, Watertown, SBDC advisor; and Robin E. Stephenson, Redwood, SBDC advisor. The following staff received promotion from Grade 3 to Grade 5: Andrew R. Burgess of Brewerton, learning skills specialist; Tanya L. Hoistion, Calcium, learning skills specialist-accommodative services; and Sheree A. Trainham, Chaumont, learning skills specialist.

Additionally, sabbatical leaves were granted to Donald Horton of Evans Mills, director of the computer center, February 2016-July 2016; Ronald R. Palmer of Black River, professor of history, Fall 2015 semester; and Deborah A. Steinberg of Calcium, associate professor of psychology, Spring 2016 semester.
