East Hall Student Housing - Apply Now for Fall Semester

Jefferson Community College is now accepting housing applications to live in East Hall for the Fall 2015 semester.  Prospective Jefferson students must complete the college admissions application prior to submitting an application for housing.  To be eligible for housing, students must be full-time and enrolled in a degree program. Housing applications are generally handled on a ‘first come, first served’ basis from the date of application completion and receipt of a housing deposit, therefore students are encouraged to apply early for the best chance of receiving preferred housing choice.  Both applications, along with complete student housing details, are available online. Fall semester classes begin August 31, 2015.

East Hall, a suite-style 294-bed complex, opened in August of 2014. Students may choose from a combination of single and double bedrooms in spacious units designed for 4-person, 5-person, and 6-person occupancy. Each suite is fully furnished including a wardrobe, desk and bed; a kitchenette with a sink, microwave, full refrigerator, cabinetry; and a living room with a couch and chairs.  Amenities include free laundry facilities on every floor, a study lounge on every floor, vending, wireless internet throughout the entire building, cable television in many common areas and cable connections in each suite, controlled building access and 24-hour campus security.  Two professional residence directors and eight student resident assistants live in the residence hall and are available 24/7 to assist students.

East Hall is located right on the main campus, on the corner of Campus Drive and Rand Drive, close to all campus buildings and athletic facilities.  A shopping mall, movie theater and restaurants are within a short walking distance from campus.  Nearby attractions along the Black River, Lake Ontario, the Thousand Islands region and Adirondack Park are within driving distance.

Complete information about the residence hall including housing and meal plan costs, suite configurations, and frequently asked questions (FAQs) are available online.  Jefferson offers more than 30 academic programs in a variety of majors designed for both transfer to a four-year institution or career training.  Campus tours are available by calling the Welcome Center at 315-786-6567.

East Hall is owned by the Jefferson Community College Faculty Student Association Auxiliary LLC and operated in partnership with the College.  The Faculty Student Association (FSA) is a not-for-profit organization that provides ancillary services in support of the mission of Jefferson Community College.
