STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE ELECTED TO JCC BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Cailey M. Burrows, Watertown, has been elected by the student body at Jefferson Community College to serve as the student member of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) Board of Trustees for the 2015-2016 academic year. Her term began in July 2015.

Cailey is 2014 graduate of Watertown High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. At Jefferson, she is enrolled in the mathematics and science associate of science degree program with a concentration in allied health.   Cailey is planning to pursue for a career in the healthcare field and is currently participating in certified nursing assistant training at Samaritan Medical Center.  During her freshman year at Jefferson, Cailey was involved in a variety of activities including treasurer for Student Government and serving on the Faculty Student Association Board and the Social-Cultural Committee.  As the Student Government Treasurer she kept records of various funds and presided over the Budget Finance Committee.  Cailey is an active JCC student and continues to show her dedication to Jefferson with this new appointment.

Cailey’s first official Board of Trustees meeting took place on July 8, 2015.
