JCC to host 2nd Annual CannonCon April 1-2, 2017

Student organized clubs of Jefferson Community College (JCC) including Cosplay (costume play), Let’s Play Games, Cinematic Productions, Criminal Justice and Haven along with JCC Campus Activities Board, will present the 2nd Annual CannonCon on April 1-2, 2017.

Tickets, on sale now, may be purchased online or in person at the Student Activities Center, Room 4-100, McVean Center. The cost for a weekend pass is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. The cost for a day pass is $10 and tickets will be available at the door. The convention will be held 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on April 1 and from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on April 2. Registration will be held in the Jules Center Commons (Building 6). 

CannonCon, a pop culture convention, celebrates movies, comics, gaming, cosplay, books, and more. Activities include but are not limited to: costume contests, dating games, photo booth, and live entertainment. Tournaments may include Sanctioned Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, Mortal Kombat, and Smash Brothers. In addition to panels, events, and a vendor’s hall, CannonCon will feature appearances by special guests The Living Tombstone, Quaintrelle Cosplay, Elite3, CrusherP, and Animated James.

The event is open to the public. Activities for youth, ages 17 and younger, will wrap up by 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1.
