JCC Announces Continuing Appointments, Promotions and Sabbaticals

Jefferson Community College (JCC) has announced continuing appointments, promotions and sabbaticals for faculty and staff effective September 1, 2017 as approved by the College Board of Trustees on March 1, 2017.

Continuing appointment was granted to the following faculty and staff:
Anthony J. Burgess, Watertown, instructor; Alissa C. Donnell, Carthage, instructor; Rachael N. Chubb, Felts Mills, research analyst; Chris Ebey, Watertown, instructor; Trisha L. Howell, Watertown, instructor; Jeffrey Kiggins, Harrisville, instructor; Katie J. Korman, Chaumont, admissions and enrollment assistant; and Michael A. Wicks, Harrisville, college nurse.

Tricia M. Richardson, Dexter, was promoted from a grade 1 to a grade 3 technical specialist – enrollment services. Anthony J. Burgess, Watertown, was promoted from instructor to assistant professor of business. Alissa C. Donnell, Carthage, was promoted from an instructor to assistant professor of agri-business. Chris Ebey, Watertown, was promoted from instructor to assistant professor of geology. Trisha L. Howell, Watertown, was promoted from instructor to assistant professor of human services. Jeffrey Kiggins, Harrisville, was promoted from instructor to assistant professor of biology. Gerald Zoanetti, Henderson Harbor, was promoted from instructor to assistant professor of biology.

Peter Boenning, Watertown, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of social science. Leah A. Deasy, Mexico, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of reading. Christine M. Grimes-Topping, Sackets Harbor, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of English. Brandon L. Maxam, Oswego, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of English.

Jack N. Donato, Watertown, was promoted from associate professor to professor of computer science. Mark C. Streiff, Evans Mills, was promoted from associate professor to professor of physical education.

Additionally, sabbaticals were granted: Lawrence Danforth, Corning, assistant professor of mathematics, Fall 2017 – Spring 2018 semesters; Brian S. Topping, Sackets Harbor, assistant professor of English, Spring 2018 semester.
