Jefferson Announces Continuing Appointments, Promotions and Sabbaticals

Jefferson Community College (JCC) has announced continuing appointments, promotions and sabbaticals for faculty and staff effective September 1, 2018 as approved by the College Board of Trustees on March 7, 2018.

Continuing appointment was granted to the following faculty and staff:  
Jill A. Knudsen, Watertown, NY, instructor; Clifford J. Peters, Watertown, NY, technical specialist – microcomputers; Edie A. Roggie, Castorland, NY, alumni development officer; Whitney Snyder, Redwood, NY, instructor; and Kiah N. Sugrue, Chaumont, NY, Small Business Development Center, business advisor.

Shawna M. Spencer, Lacona, NY, was promoted from a grade 3 to a grade 5 learning skills specialist.  Lewis B. Williams, Watertown, NY, was promoted from grade 3 to a grade 5 information systems specialist. Dr. Katy E. Troester-Trate, Watertown, NY, was promoted from grade 5 to grade 7 counselor.  Gabrielle M. Thompson, Watertown, NY, was promoted from grade 7 to grade 9 TRIO student support services director.

Jill A. Knudsen, Watertown, NY, was promoted from instructor to assistant professor of foreign language.  Whitney Snyder, Redwood, NY, was promoted from instructor to assistant professor of business. Joshua D. Hammond, Watertown, NY, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of mathematics.     

Lucinda D. Barbour, Adams Center, was promoted from associate professor to professor of art. Timothy F. Grosse, Watertown, NY, was promoted from associate professor to professor of mathematics. 

Additionally, a sabbatical was granted to Monica G. LeClerc, Alexandria Bay, NY, for the Spring 2019 semester.
