Goal Setting Seminar for Administrative Professionals Apr. 27

Are you tired of making resolutions and wellness goals that fizzle out? Learn the steps and strategies to help make your goals become a reality at Jefferson Community College’s (JCC) luncheon seminar for administrative professionals onWednesday, April 27 from noon to 4:00 p.m.The seminar, How to Set and Achieve Wellness and Life Goals, is hosted by the JCC Continuing Education Division in observance of Administrative Professionals Week.

Presenter Valerie Silver, a certified holistic health practitioner and coach, will show attendees how to overcome challenges in order to set, achieve, and maintain goals in both their professional and personal lives. Seminar topics include six essential steps of setting successful goals and how to deal with inner and outer challenges. Attendees will design a wellness goal and the action steps necessary to reach it.

Silver specializes in holistic wellness and has extensive experience working with individuals using energy healing techniques such as emotional freedom healing and holistic synergy. In addition to holding a diploma in herbal studies and homeobotanical therapy from the Australasian College of Health Science, Oregon, Silver holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin—Stevens Point, a master’s degree in teaching from SUNY Potsdam, and NYS certification in teaching. She is a reading recovery teacher at Indian River Central School District.

The cost of the seminar is $45 and includes lunch. Companies sending more than one employee are entitled to a $5 discount per person.The registration deadline is noon on Tuesday, April 19.
