Information for Employees

Returning to Campus

College departments are returning to campus in a phased approach starting July 6.  During this time, offices will not be open to the public except by limited, scheduled appointments.

  • Human Resources will send an email to individual staff, prior to their scheduled return to campus, with a Returning to the Workplace manual and link to a daily screening form. Each day, employees must complete the screening form via email prior to coming on campus. The link to the screening form is posted on the portal.
  • While on campus, face coverings must be worn when social distancing is not possible.
  • Spaces and furniture on campus have been arranged to accommodate proper social distancing and minimize the population density in any given area on campus.
  • To allow facilities staff the time to properly clean and sanitize campus, all staff will work remotely on Fridays through July 31.
  • Remember - the best way to stay healthy is to practice universal precautions. Hand washing is paramount—wash your hands with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds often. Also, if you are sick, PLEASE STAY HOME!!! While we appreciate your dedication to the work you do each day, we can do more by containing the illness by reducing exposure.

Questions pertaining to your individual situation with regard to returning to campus may be directed to Human Resources, (315) 786-2393 or humanresources@sunyjefferson.edu.

We will evaluate the College's reopening process weekly and make changes as necessary. Changes will be communicated to you and posted on the portal.  We continue to monitor guidance from the NYS Department of Health, the Jefferson County Control Room and Public Health Office, the Centers for Disease Control and SUNY.

At this juncture, we are planning to reopen to the public on August 3.  The details and processes relating to how we open to the public and students are still being finalized.  More information will be forthcoming over the coming weeks and the College’s website will contain all pertinent information for the college community and public entities.

I hope you all are able to relax and enjoy the Independence Day holiday.
