Another Round ’Round the Block
Kiel M. Gregory, 2018
Your hairpin sits on my nightstand.
“Ghost,” they said.
“Ghost that bitch.”
I feel old;
I’m not familiar with that phrase,
but I know what it means.
It means I’ve hurt too much
for such little time invested.
Such time invested. . .
I hurt like a few years have passed,
but it has only been a month.
I fall in and out of love
at least a dozen times a day –
Every day.
Always.
Tomorrow is
another day,
Too.
And I’ll fall in love
again.
Just like yesterday.
