Board of Trustees
David J. Males, Chair
David Males was appointed to the Board of Trustees in November 2016 by then-Governor
Andrew Cuomo. He served for two terms as Vice Chair, from 2021-2023, before being
elected Chair in 2023. He currently serves as the Trustee representative on the Middle
States Steering Committee and spent the last two years as chair of the Academic &
Educational Services Committee and member of the Facilities Committee. He previously
served for two years on the Personnel Committee and as the Trustee Representative
on the Jefferson Faculty Student Association Auxiliary Board of Directors. Trustee
Males enjoyed a forty year career in the broadcast industry, retiring 2021 from the
position of Vice President and General Manager of WWTI/ABC 50 in Watertown.
Cindy F. Intschert, Vice Chair
Chair – Academic & Educational Services Committee
Member – Personnel Committee
Cindy Intschert was appointed by the Jefferson County Board of Legislators to fill
an unexpired term on the Board of Trustees in December 2020. She was elected Vice
Chair in 2023. She has previously served on the Facilities Committee and Personnel
Committee and as the Trustee Representative on the Jefferson Faculty Student Association
Auxiliary (JFSAA) Board of Directors. Trustee Intschert enjoyed a thirty-year career
with the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, retiring from the position of
District Attorney in 2015. She is a graduate of Jefferson Community College and was
honored as a Distinguished Alumna in 2000.
Genesis Crice, Student Trustee
Member – Academic & Educational Services Committee
Genesis Crice, originally from Sumner, WA, is a human services major at Jefferson.
His ultimate goal is to earn a Master's in Social Work and pursue a career as a therapist.
In addition to his studies, Genesis is actively involved in campus life as a member
of the Science & Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) and serves as a resident assistant
(RA) in East Hall. Passionate about mental health and student advocacy, Genesis is
dedicated to raising awareness on student-related issues and fostering a supportive
environment for his peers.
Maureen Aiken
Member – Facilities Committee, Personnel Committee
Maureen Aiken, was appointed to the Board of Trustees in August 2024 by Governor Kathy
Hochul. She has over 20 years of teaching experience in the Watertown City School
District (WCSD). Aiken serves on the WCSD Crisis Response Committee and has held the
office of secretary, vice president, and president of the Crescent Yacht Club: Junior
Division. Aiken also founded the nonprofit organization A Book in Every Hand, dedicated
to promoting literacy by ensuring that every first-grade student in WCSD received
their own book.
Michael W. Crowley
Member – Finance & Audit Committee, Nominating Committee
Michael Crowley was first appointed to the Board of Trustees by the Jefferson County
Board of Legislators in 2008 and was reappointed in July 2023 to his fourth term as
Trustee. He served as Chair of the Board from 2012-2014 and Vice Chair from 2010-2012.
Previously, he has chaired the Personnel Committee, Audit Committee and Budget & Planning
Committee, as well as served as a member of the Facilities Committee. He chaired the
College’s Presidential Search Committee in 2016-2017. He is a certified public accountant
and principal of Crowley & Halloran CPAS, P.C. in Watertown.
Damon Draught

Trustee Representative – JCC Faculty Student Association (FSA) Board of Directors
Damon Draught was first appointed to the Board of Trustees in December 2020 by the
Jefferson County Board of Legislators to fill an unexpired term. He was reappointed
to a full term in August 2021. He has served as a member of the Personnel Committee
and the Audit Committee and chaired the Budget & Planning Committee (now Finance &
Audit Committee). Trustee Draught retired from the U.S. Army in 2012 after twenty
years of service as a Human Resources Noncommissioned Officer, with his last assignment
at Fort Drum. He is a franchisee-owner of several Dairy Queen Grill & Chill locations
in New York and Rhode Island.
Elizabeth C. Fipps
Chair – Personnel Committee
Trustee Representative – Jefferson Faculty Student Association Auxiliary (JFSAA) Board
of Directors
Beth Fipps was appointed to the Board of Trustees in April 2016 by then-Governor Andrew
Cuomo. She has served on the Personnel and Facilities Committee and as the Trustee
Representative on the JCC Foundation Board of Directors. Trustee Fipps spent 24 years
in the banking industry rising to the rank of senior vice president with HSBC. Since
2011, she has served as Vice President of Foundation and Community Services at Samaritan
Medical Center in Watertown.
Judith L. Gentner
Member – Academic & Educational Services Committee, Finance & Audit Committee and
Nominating Committee
Judy Gentner was appointed to the Board of Trustees in March 2016 by then-Governor
Andrew Cuomo. She served two terms as Chair, from 2021-2023 and prior to that she
served three terms as Vice Chair, from 2018-2021. Trustee Gentner co-chaired the 2022-2023
Presidential Search Committee. Previously she has chaired the Personnel Committee
and the Facilities Committee and has served as the Trustee representative on the Jefferson
Faculty Student Association Auxiliary Board of Directors and on the College’s Strategic
Plan Steering Committee. She retired in 2011 from a 30+-year civilian career in the
US Army, including her last 14 years as Deputy to the Garrison Commander on Fort Drum.
Nathan P. Hunter

Trustee Representative – JCC Foundation Board of Directors
Nate Hunter was first appointed to the Board of Trustees in January 2015 by the Jefferson
County Board of Legislators. He was reappointed to a second term in 2020. Trustee
Hunter served as Vice Chair from 2016-2018 and as Chair for three terms from 2018-2021.
He has chaired the Personnel Committee, Budget & Planning Committee and Audit Committee
and co-chaired the 2022-2023 Presidential Search Committee. Previously, he served
as a member of the JCC Foundation Board of Directors. A certified public accountant
and certified fraud examiner, Trustee Hunter is Senior Vice President and CFO of Northern
Credit Union. Trustee Hunter is a graduate of Jefferson and received the Rising Star
Award from the Alumni Association in 2014.
Stephen Todd
Chair – Facilities Committee
Member – Academic & Educational Services Committee
Steve Todd was appointed to the Board of Trustees by the Jefferson County Board of
Legislators in November 2022. He has served on both the Academic and Educational
Services Committee and the Facilities Committee, and as a member of the 2022-2023
Presidential Search Committee. Trustee Todd is a former teacher and principal in the
Watertown City School District and has served as the District Superintendent and CEO
of the Jefferson-Lewis- Hamilton-Herkimer-Oneida Board of Cooperative Educational
Services (BOCES) since 2014.
