In partnership with Onondaga Community College, Jefferson is hosting a free introductory program to the Semiconductor Industry for anyone who wants to explore careers in the growing semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industries in New York State. The overall New York average salary for semiconductor processing technicians is roughly $68,564/year.

This program is designed to provide the fundamental skills and knowledge needed for careers in the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industries. Through classroom discussion, hands-on labs, simulations, and equipment demonstrations, students learn problem-solving techniques, cleanroom practices, measurement and inspection methods, mechanical and electrical systems, automation, PLCs, motors, fluid power, vacuum systems, and workplace safety.
