Semiconductor Boot Camp
In partnership with Micron and other high-tech partners around New York State, we are hosting a free introductory program to the Semiconductor Industry. This is not only for students, but for anyone who wants to see what new career opportunities are available as Micron and its partners ramp up production in New York. The overall New York average for semiconductor processing technicians is about $68,564/year.
This course is designed to provide the fundamental skills and knowledge needed for careers in the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industries. Through classroom discussion, hands-on labs, simulations, and equipment demonstrations, students learn problem-solving techniques, cleanroom practices, measurement and inspection methods, mechanical and electrical systems, automation, PLCs, motors, fluid power, vacuum systems, and workplace safety.
This program introduces students to the fundamental skills and knowledge needed for careers in the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industries.
