Allied Health Information Session to be held November 15

Learn about non-credit allied health precertification programs at Jefferson Community College (JCC) on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Room E-114, Extended Learning Center (Building E).

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with allied health instructors and pick up an application. JCC’s allied health training could lead to certification in healthcare careers as:

• Clinical Medical Assistants
• Medical Billers and Coders
• Pharmacy Technicians
• Entry Level Phlebotomy Technicians (who draw blood)
• Care Coordinators

Training programs require as little as a 2-month commitment and as much as a 5-month commitment. Deadlines apply. Learn more at the information session at JCC on November 15.

    The Center for Community Studies at Jefferson Community College (JCC) completed a first-of-its-kind study on North Country residents' health and healthcare experiences, with special emphasis on women's health and the impacts of adverse childhood experiences. The Center partnered with faculty of Gender and Women's Studies at SUNY Plattsburgh, to design and complete the study of adults in Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Franklin, Essex, and Clinton counties. In the study, a total of 2,991 adult residents were surveyed from the five-county region between February 3-14, 2026.
