JCC Allied Health Pre-Certification Training Moved Online

Published: June 11, 2020

Jefferson Community College (JCC) Workforce Development and Business Division will offer its precertification allied health training online. Pre-coronavirus pandemic, training was held on Jefferson’s campus and in Lewis County. Online registration is open.

Jefferson’s longstanding allied health precertification training programs lead to careers as clinical medical assistants, medical billers and coders, pharmacy technicians and phlebotomy technicians. Additional training is available this year! New programs train individuals for careers as dental assistants, EKG (electrocardiogram) technicians who monitor a patient’s heart performance, dialysis technicians who assist patients with kidney disorders and require the use of a dialysis machine, personal care assistants, and veterinary assistants.
Online instruction, accessible on any device, is instructor lead and incorporates externship opportunities and hands-on experiences.

Pre-certificate training provides a great opportunity for individuals to learn new hands-on skills in a short amount of time to enhance their resumes and/or prepare for a change in careers. Support for job search is available at the conclusion of each Jefferson pre-certificate training program.

For more information and to register, visit www.sunyjefferson.edu/workshops or call JCC’s Workforce Development and Business Division at (315) 786-2233 or email ced@sunyjefferson.edu.
