Kolby S. Robinson Named Athlete of the Week

Freshman pitcher, Kolby S. Robinson, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) baseball team was named JCC Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 31, 2024.  JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions.

Robinson, a 2023 graduate of APW Central School, is majoring in Humanities and Social Sciences at Jefferson. Kolby, a freshman left-handed pitcher, threw two solid games this week on short rest. Robinson pitched a complete game win in seven innings, allowing only one run and striking out seven to give JCC a big home win over Mohawk Valley Community College. At Hudson Valley Community College, Kolby worked extremely hard on the mound. He battled a couple of dropped balls early on and a tight strike zone, managing to pitch four innings for Jefferson. In three out of the four innings, he allowed only one run, if any at all. He added four strikeouts in that game, bringing his season record to 20 across four starts and only six walks. Kolby has been a key contributor on the mound this season.
