Notary Public Prep Workshop to Be Held at Lewis County Education Center April 8, 2021

On April 8, 2021, Jefferson Community College (JCC) will hold a non-credit workshop titled Prepare To Become A Notary Public from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Lewis County Education Center in Lowville. Deadline is register is April 1, 2021.

JCC’s workshop is for anyone interested in becoming a notary public who would like to prepare for the New York State notary public exam. Workshop attendees will learn about the duties and responsibilities of the notary public office, how to avoid conflicts of interest, how to maintain professional ethics, how to charge proper fees, how to handle special situations and minimize legal liability and when to defer to an attorney. The workshop will include an 80-question practice exam.
