Jefferson Community College (JCC) will hold a nursing program information session for prospective students on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on campus in Room 6-002, Jules Center (Building 6) Amphitheater and virtually via Zoom. Check-in will take place in the Jules Center Commons.
Attendees will learn about prerequisite coursework, admission requirements, the College application process, and financial aid, and will have the opportunity to tour Jefferson’s fully equipped clinical practice simulation laboratory.
JCC's nursing program is ranked #2 in New York State by Nursing Schools Almanac. The program provides students with access to state-of-the-art nursing labs where they can engage in experiential learning with 11 life-like manikins, including a birthing mother. By working in JCC's nursing simulation lab, students can gain valuable practice time, which yields significant results. Students are inaugurated to the profession of nursing at the College’s Annual White Coat Ceremony.
Graduates of JCC’s nursing program receive an associate in applied science (A.A.S.) degree and are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination. Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, JCC’s nursing degree program can be completed in two years. Completion of prerequisite coursework is required for admission to the JCC nursing degree program. These courses can be taken at JCC.
