JCC To Hold Information Sessions: Nursing, SUNY Upstate Pathway, Military-Affiliated

 Jefferson Community College (JCC) will hold program-specific information sessions in-person and virtually via Zoom on October 10, October 16, and November 29, 2023, respectively. Information sessions will begin at 5:30 p.m. 

On Tuesday, October 10, JCC will hold a nursing program information session. Attendees will learn about prerequisites, admissions requirements, program courses, and meet nursing faculty. JCC’s associate degree in nursing program is ranked #2 in New York State by Nursing Schools Almanac. 

On Monday, October 16, JCC will hold a Pathway to SUNY Upstate Medical University information session for anyone interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Imaging Radiography (X-ray), Medical Imaging Sciences/Ultrasound, Medical Technology, Medical Biotechnology, Radiation Therapy, or Respiratory Therapy from SUNY Upstate. A partnership between JCC and SUNY Upstate makes the provisions for students to start their college journey at JCC in the Natural Sciences degree program and seamlessly transfer to SUNY Upstate at a college junior level. Students have the option to choose an allied health & biological sciences or physical science concentration in JCC’s Natural Sciences program. 

On Wednesday, November 29, JCC will hold a military-affiliated information session for active-duty military, veterans, and their family members. JCC is designated a 2023 Military Friendly® School, 2023 Military Spouse Friendly® School and a 2022 Best for Vets school. JCC waives student fees for active-duty service members and honors MyCAA funding for military spouses. Military-affiliated students receive in-state tuition rates and are eligible to apply for New York State Tuition Assistance Programs.
