Jefferson Community College President Dr. Ty Stone Named to City & State New York, Higher Education Power 100 List

Jefferson Community College (JCC) College is pleased to announce our College President, Dr. Ty A. Stone, has been named to City & State New York magazine’s Higher Education Power 100 list. The list includes influential members of academia and leaders from colleges, universities and professional schools in New York State. Ty A. Stone has served as the sixth president of Jefferson Community College since July 2017. Dr. Stone was number fifty-two on the list. The College is proud to see Dr. Stone receive this distinction, in recognition for all her efforts to continue JCC’s legacy of serving our community’s higher education and workforce needs.

Jefferson Community College (JCC) offers students the opportunity to reduce both the time and cost required to complete a degree through prior learning credit. Students with professional or military experience may receive credit toward degree completion through Jefferson's Prior Learning Assessment (PLA). Full-semester and early session (8-week) classes begin January 20, 2026. Registration is ongoing!
