Virtual Wine Tasting Workshops in November & December

If you have a passion for wine, check out Jefferson Community College’s virtual wine tasting workshops to be held on November 20, December 2 and December 16, 2020. Led by Certified Sommelier Julie Purpura, enjoy an evening learning about wine varietals with your partner and/or friends from the comfort of your home. Virtual wine tasting workshops will be held at 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. via Zoom. Registration includes up to four participants. The cost of wine is not included in the registration fee.

Holiday Wine 1: Wine and Tapas Tasting
Join Certified Sommelier Julie Purpura and Chef Michael Simpson of the Clipper Inn
for a wine and tapas workshop. Three wines (sparkling, white and red) will be recommended
for pairing with three tapas during the one-hour virtual tasting. Recipes will be
sent to participants in advance. Enjoy this tasting from the comfort of your home.
Each registration includes four participants, so invite your friends to enjoy an evening
in with wine and tapas! The cost of wine is not included in the registration fee.

Holiday Wine 2: Wine & Holiday Pairing
Join Certified Sommelier Julie Purpura to learn about three wines recommended for
your holiday meals. Participants will be guided through a tasting and learn about
the regions and styles represented, as well as pairing recommendations. Each registration
includes four participants, so invite your friends to enjoy an evening in with wine!
The cost of wine is not included in the registration fee.

Holiday Wine 3: Wine Around the World
Join Certified Sommelier Julie Purpura to learn about three wines of the same varietal
from three different regions. Participants will explore the differences between each
region and the history of the wines and producers. Each registration includes four
participants, so invite your friends to enjoy an evening in with wine! The cost of
wine is not included in the registration fee.
