Opportunity Programs

Jefferson has several programs that open up opportunities for students like you who are entering a certain career field, are first time College students, or have some other situations.

Advancing Success in Associate Pathways  (ASAP)

ASAP provides students with the support they need to finish their degree on time at the two-year level. The supports include tuition and fee assistance, textbook assistance, financial monthly incentives personalized advisement and academic services, and career development activities.

Collegiate Science Technology Entry Program (CSTEP)

If you are preparing for a major leading to careers in mathematics, science, technology and health-related fields and/or licensed professions, you should consider CSTEP.  Our mission is to provide resources and support to help students succeed.

Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)

EOP provides academic support services, personal counseling and financial assistance (including financial assistance in purchasing your textbooks each semester) to New York State residents who are first time college students and enroll full-time. EOP is committed to the recruitment, retention and graduation of students who normally would not be afforded the chance to pursue a college education.

TRIO Support Services (S.T.A.R. Program)

This is a special program that provides grant dollars (free, no payback) and support services like academic, personal counseling, advising and more if you meet their eligibility requirements.  You can apply to be part of the STAR program and receive these services.  Their mission is to provide support outside of the classroom that helps you develop the necessary tools to be successful.
