JCC Provides Pathway to Earn Business Degree in 18 Months

Published: February 06, 2020

Jefferson Community College (JCC) announces the launch of a new pathway for students to earn an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Business Administration in as little as 18 months. There are no pre-requisites to enroll in Jefferson’s business administration program and federal and New York State financial aid is applicable. Applying to Jefferson is free.

“The 18-month business degree was designed with adults and working professionals in mind,” says Terrence H. Harris, Associate Vice President of Workforce Development and Business. “It is a condensed curriculum that allows participants to complete the program in less time by eliminating the usual breaks afforded traditional students.” Required program classes are offered during spring and fall semesters along with summer and winter sessions and are held on JCC’s campus in Watertown, online and on Fort Drum. Anyone interested in earning their business administration degree from Jefferson in less than two years with the desire to enter the workforce sooner may enroll.

Graduates of Jefferson’s business administration program will acquire hands-on real world skills, an understanding of the technology essential for business applications, an understanding of the common functions of management that span across all industries, and education to locate, evaluate, analyze and apply information to make effective business decisions.

Enrollment is still open for spring 2020 semester. Late session, 8-week, classes begin March 16, 2020 and wrap up by May 7, 2020. Interested students are encouraged to contact Enrollment Services, 315-786-2437 or admissions@sunyjefferson.edu, as soon as possible to begin the application process.

For more information about JCC’s business administration 18 month pathway, contact Dawn Robinson, business department chair, at (315) 786-2486.
