Abigail E. Raven Named JCC Athlete of the Week

Sophomore center, Abigail E. Raven, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) women’s basketball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending December 15, 2024.  

Abby, a 2023 graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy, is majoring in Natural Sciences at Jefferson. Raven delivered a dominant performance in her team’s victory over #7 ranked Onondaga Community College, recording 19 points, 20 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Her double-double effort not only showcased her scoring ability but also her tenacity on the boards and defensive presence in the paint. Abby’s rebounding performance was impressive, as she controlled both ends of the floor, securing key second-chance opportunities for her team. Her 4 blocks further emphasized her impact on the defensive side, helping to stifle Onondaga’s offensive attack. Raven’s all-around play was instrumental in her team’s success, solidifying her as a force to be reckoned with in the game.
