Alannah P. Cook Named Athlete of the Week

Freshman runner, Alannah P. Cook, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) women’s cross country team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending September 29, 2019. JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions and Under Armour.
Alannah, a 2019 graduate of Indian River High School, is majoring in Natural Sciences at Jefferson. Cook’s accomplishments on the trail this past week include leading the Lady Cannoneer Cross Country team to a 5th place finish at the 11th Annual Cazenovia Homecoming Invitational. Alannah started off fast and continued to run strong through the middle part of the 5 kilometer course where she helped her teammates stay on pace. Her strength and leadership helped Jefferson runners stay within striking distance of the #8 USTFCCCA National Coaches’ poll ranked Hudson Valley. She finished the course in 25:24 finishing 16th overall against NCAA DIII and NJCAA Teams.
