Liam M. Bonk Named Athlete of the Week

Sophomore forward, Liam M. Bonk, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) men’s basketball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending November 24, 2019. JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions and Under Armour.
Liam, a 2018 graduate of Indian River Central School, is majoring in Humanities and Social Sciences at Jefferson. Bonk’s accomplishments on the court this past week include helping the Cannoneers defeat Tompkins Cortland Community College, nationally ranked Herkimer College, and Columbia-Greene. Liam was a big factor in all 3 games as he recorded 3 triple doubles, averaging 15.6 points and 12.5 rebounds a game. He is usually assigned to one of the better offensive players of the other team and is continually improving his game both offensively and defensively. Bonk has continued to improve as a leader and team player. Liam’s hard work is paying off and the results are showing up each game.
