Brandon Dodge Named JCC Athlete of the Week
Published: November 11, 2025
Sophomore forward, Brandon Dodge of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) men’s basketball team, was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending November 9, 2025.
Dodge, a 2024 graduate of Belleville Henderson Central School, is majoring in Humanities
and Social Sciences at Jefferson. Brandon epitomizes what a student athlete should
be: hard-working and coachable! Over the summer he has grown leaps and bounds, not
only as a player but as a person. He has put in the hours to become a better player,
and it is showing on the court as he led his team at the Onondaga Classic this past
weekend.
Against Lackawanna (District II school), Brandon would score 17 points and make 3-3
pointers. Against Kingsborough, Brandon would lead the onslaught against the Wave
in the first half as the Cannoneers scored 60 first-half points. In all, Brandon
would make 3 more 3-pointers and lead the Cannoneers in scoring, with 18 points against
the Kingsborough Wave, going 5-5 from the free-throw line. The Cannoneers would win
83-70. His 2-day total at the classic would result in a total of 35 points and a
perfect weekend from the free-throw line as the Cannoneers finished 1-1.
