Brooke Wiley Named Jefferson Athlete of the Week
Published: February 03, 2026
Freshman guard, Brooke Wiley of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) women’s basketball
team, was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending February 1, 2026.
Wiley, a 2025 graduate of General Brown High School, is majoring in Natural Sciences
at Jefferson. This past week, Brooke had an outstanding four-game stretch that helped
propel the #8-ranked Lady Cannoneers to a 3-1 week, with key victories over SUNY Broome,
Herkimer County Community College, and Mohawk Valley Community College.
During the week, Jefferson improved to 14–4 overall and 11–1 in Region III, maintaining
its position among the top teams in the nation. Brooke played a major role in that
success, providing consistent scoring, perimeter shooting, and leadership in the backcourt.
Across the four games, Brooke averaged 17.5 points per game, knocking down 10 three-pointers
for the Cannoneers. Her ability to stretch the floor opens inside space for her teammates.
