Damien Lee Perrea Named Jefferson Athlete of the Week
Freshman goalkeeper, Damien Lee Perrea of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) men’s
lacrosse team, was named JCC athlete of the week, for the week ending March 22, 2026.
Perrea, 2025 graduate of Franklin Academy, is majoring in Criminal Justice at Jefferson.
Damien has made an immediate impact on the Jefferson Men’s Lacrosse team. After delivering
a dominant performance in net for the Cannoneers in their season opener last Saturday,
against Sussex CCC (8 saves, 1 goal allowed), Damien was back between the pipes at
home Friday.
Damien had an impressive 18-save effort on Friday against visiting Anne Arundel Community
College in a hard-fought triple overtime contest. Despite allowing 13 goals, Perrea
played solid between the pipes and kept the Cannoneers in the game throughout.
Perrea’s leadership, command of the defense, and ability to stop the ball have set
the tone for the Cannoneers, early in his collegiate career.
