Delaney A. Wiley Named Athlete of the Week

Freshman guard, Delaney A. Wiley, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) women’s basketball team was named JCC Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 18, 2024. JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions.
Delaney, a 2023 graduate of Thousand Islands High School, Clayton, NY, is majoring in Natural Sciences at Jefferson. This past week, Wiley scored 15 points from the 3-point arc and recorded 4 assists in the win over Genesee Community College, helping the Lady Cannoneers to a 11-1 finish in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Delaney also scored 10 points in the season finale against North Country Community College, while holding the Lady Saints’ best player to 5 points through 3 quarters. She has played tremendous defense all year, usually matched up with the opposing team’s best player and provides an offensive spark. Delaney also averages 10.2 points per game and leads the team with 37 3-pointers.
