Delaney A. Wiley Named Athlete of the Week

Freshman pitcher, Delaney A. Wiley, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) softball team was named JCC Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 7, 2024.  JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions.

Delaney, a 2023 graduate of Thousand Islands High School, Clayton, NY, is majoring in Natural Sciences at Jefferson. This past week Wiley pitched a no-hitter and struck out 12 batters in Jefferson softball’s 11-0 win over Jamestown Community College.  At the plate she went 6-9 (.667 BA) with 4 RBIs and 2 doubles. Delaney is one of our key leaders on and off the diamond. Her strong work ethic and leadership is demonstrated by her results on the field and the effect she has on her teammates around her.
