Elizabeth Hobbs Named Jefferson Athlete of the Week
Freshman infielder, Elizabeth Hobbs of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) softball
team, was named JCC athlete of the week, for the week ending April 12, 2026.
Hobbs, a 2025 graduate of South Jefferson Central School, is majoring in Natural Sciences
at Jefferson. Elizabeth gave an outstanding performance at the plate this past week,
leading the offense with a remarkable .667 batting average. She tallied 10 hits in
15 at-bats across six games, consistently delivering in key moments. In addition to
her hitting, Hobbs showed great discipline by drawing four walks, helping to set the
tone offensively. Her production included two doubles, three runs scored, and seven
