Katie Call Named JCC Athlete of the Week

Sophomore catcher/infielder, Katie Call, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) softball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending April 27, 2025.  

Call, a 2023 graduate of Indian River Central School, is majoring in Physical Education at Jefferson.  This past week Katie had an outstanding showing at the plate, recording 8 hits in just 16 at-bats for an impressive .500 batting average.  Her consistency and ability to get on base made a huge impact, scoring 8 runs. Katie's performance was a key factor in the team's success, providing steady offense and constant pressure on the opposing defenses.
