Kimberlie DiLeonardo Named Jefferson Athlete of the Week
Published: January 22, 2026
Sophomore point guard, Kimberlie M. DiLeonardo of the Jefferson Community College
(JCC) women’s basketball team, was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending
January 19, 2026.
DiLeonardo, a 2024 graduate of Watertown High School, is majoring in Psychology at
Jefferson. This past week, Kimberlie delivered a standout performance for the Lady
Cannoneers, helping lead the team to a perfect 3–0 record. Stepping into the starting
point guard role in the game versus Tompkins Cortland Community College, DiLeonardo
made an immediate impact with 14 points, knocking down four three-pointers while also
dishing out seven assists. She followed that performance by hitting two clutch three-point
shots in a key win over Hudson Valley Community College, then capped the week with
an all-around effort against SUNY Adirondack—finishing with 11 points, five assists,
and three steals.
Kimmy’s poise, shooting, and leadership at the point were instrumental in the Cannoneers
improving to 10–3 in Region play and maintaining their #8 ranking in the current National
Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) polls.
