Kyle Peterson Named Jefferson Athlete of the Week

Freshman pitcher, Kyle L. Peterson of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) baseball team, was named JCC athlete of the week, for the week ending March 15, 2026.  

Peterson, 2023 graduate of Treasure Coast High School, Port St. Lucie, FL, is majoring in Criminal Justice at Jefferson.  Kyle started his first collegiate baseball game as a member of the Jefferson Cannoneers. He went on to throw 6 innings allowing only 3 runs with 7 strikeouts. Kyle's performance carried the Cannoneers to a 4-3 victory over Onondaga Community College (OCC). This is the Cannoneers' first win over OCC in 12 series with the Lazers.
