Leah Briones Named JCC Athlete of the Week

Sophomore short-stop, Leah S. Briones, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) softball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending March 28, 2021.  JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions and Under Armour.   

Leah, a 2019 graduate of South Jefferson Central School, is majoring in Natural Sciences with a concentration in Allied Health & Biological Sciences at Jefferson.  Briones’ accomplishments at the plate this past week include going 8-15 with a .563 batting average, scoring 6 runs and having 6 RBI’s.  Leah hit a triple in the team's win in their first game versus Finger Lakes Community College and a double in the team's win in the second game versus Mohawk Valley Community College.
