Mackenzie A. Lane Named Athlete of the Week for the Week Ending September 10, 2023

Sophomore, Mackenzie A. Lane, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) volleyball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending September 10, 2023.  JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions.

Lane, a 2022 graduate of Malone High School, is majoring in Physical Education at Jefferson.  Mackenzie’s accomplishments on the court during the recent week with three matches have been phenomenal as our Libero (Defensive Specialist). She led the Lady Cannoneers to Victory over Monroe Community College and a close 5-set match loss to #4 Finger Lakes Community College, and a loss to FLCC during a weeknight match up. She is a team captain that led her team on the court with 35 digs, 5 kills, 1 service ace, and 4 assist.  She leads the team with a passing percentage of 93%.  Mackenzie’s hard work during the off season sure is paying off, she is a tactical player and leads by example on and off the court!  She is truly an all-around positional Volleyball player; she was an Outside- Hitter and this season filled an important position as Libero.
