Owen R. Bismarck Named JCC Athlete of the Week

Freshman forward, Owen R. Bismarck, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) hockey team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending January 26, 2025.  

Owen, a 2024 graduate of Thousand Islands High School, is majoring in Applied Business Studies at Jefferson. Bismarck sits among the top five-point scorers in the country and is first among freshmen in Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Hockey. Bismarck has delivered standout performances in his last two games for the Cannoneers. On sophomore night against LeMoyne College, he scored a hat trick, including the game-winning goal, leading the team to a hard-fought 4-2 victory. He followed up this past weekend with two goals and an assist on Jack Mills' game-winning goal against Cornell University. Bismarck is now tied with teammate Kyle Gionet at 39 points, just one point ahead of Captain Cam Winebar, who has 38.
