Published: September 09, 2025
Colonel Jason N. Adler, the newly appointed Garrison Commander at Fort Drum, visited Jefferson Community College (JCC) on Wednesday, September 3, to meet with College President Daniel Dupee and other senior college officials. The visit underscores JCC’s ongoing commitment to supporting active-duty service members, transitioning soldiers, veterans, and military-affiliated family members.
During the visit, Col. Adler and President Dupee discussed opportunities to expand collaboration between Fort Drum and JCC to better serve the educational and career goals of military-connected students. Topics included access to flexible degree programs, academic advising tailored to military life, and support services designed to ease the transition from military to civilian careers.
“Jefferson has a proud history of serving the Fort Drum community,” said President Dupee. “We are honored to welcome Colonel Adler and look forward to working closely to ensure our military-affiliated students have the tools they need to succeed both in and out of uniform.”
JCC offers a range of programs and services for military-connected learners, including college credit for military training and experience, allowing students to shorten the time needed to earn a degree.
