JCC & SUNY Upstate Info Session March 13 for Healthcare Students

Education partners, Jefferson Community College (JCC) and SUNY Upstate Medical (SUNY Upstate), will hold an information session for prospective healthcare students on Monday, March 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at JCC in Room 6-002, Jules Center (Building 6), and virtually via Zoom.
JCC has a formal articulation agreement with SUNY Upstate that offers a clear college pathway for students aspiring to pursue careers as x-ray and ultrasound technicians, medical technologists, medical biotechnologists, radiation therapists, and respiratory therapists. To begin this pathway, students enroll in either the Allied Health & Biological Sciences (Natural Sciences) or Physical Science (Natural Sciences) program at JCC. Upon successful completion of courses with a grade of C or higher, credits are seamlessly transferred to SUNY Upstate. Once JCC graduates move on to SUNY Upstate, they are able to continue their education at a college junior level. SUNY Upstate offers a variety of bachelor's degree programs, those included in the articulation agreement with JCC are Medical Imaging Radiography (X-ray) B.S., Medical Imaging Sciences/Ultrasound B.S., Medical Technology B.S., Medical Biotechnology B.S., Radiation Therapy B.S., and Respiratory Therapy B.S.
Representatives from JCC and SUNY Upstate will be available at the information session to answer questions about each of their respective academic programs, transfer opportunities and how to apply for admissions.
