New Scholarships for New Students Beginning Classes January 25, 2021
Published: December 15, 2020
Committed to its economic recovery plan, Jefferson Community College (JCC) announces three new scholarships for new students who start classes on January 25, 2021 (spring semester).
New scholarships are the Now More Than Ever Scholarship, for new students ages 20-24 who enroll after December 3, 2020; the Future Teacher Scholarship, for new students who major in childhood education or early childhood and enroll after December 3, 2020; and a Transfer Scholarship, for new students who transfer to JCC from another institution after December 15, 2020. To be eligible for one of JCC’s new scholarships, students must enroll in a minimum of six credit hours. Awards range up to $1,000. Criteria eligibility applies.
“During these unprecedented times, we want to encourage students to pursue their educational and career goals rather than put them on hold,” says James P.R. Ambrose, Dean of Enrollment at JCC. “We hope by offering additional scholarships, students will take advantage of the even deeper cost savings of attending a community college as well as the quiet time to get an education that will demonstrate preparedness to prospective employers and position them at the top later.”
Jefferson offers more than 40 academic programs and applying for admission is free.
