College President Selected for Higher Education Power 100 List Second Year in a Row

Jefferson Community College (JCC) is pleased to announce College President, Dr. Ty A. Stone, has been named to City & State New York magazine’s Higher Education Power 100 list. The list includes influential members of academia and leaders from colleges, universities and professional schools in New York State.
This is Dr. Stone’s second time making the list. She ranked number forty-nine on this year’s list, moving up from last year’s position.
“We are so proud to see Dr. Stone recognized in this capacity,” said Judith L. Gentner, Chair of the Jefferson Community College Board of Trustees. “Under her strong leadership, the College served our community well throughout the pandemic and she is laser-focused on strategic, long term plans to keep the College sustainable by adapting to the diverse needs of our students and the demands of a rapidly changing workforce.”
The magazine specifically mentions Dr. Stone’s work in moving forward with the College’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative and service as co-chair of the North Country Regional Economic Development Council. Dr. Stone has served as the sixth president of Jefferson Community College since July 2017.
