Registration Open for 2026 Academic Terms - Summer, Fall, and Winter

Prospective students interested in starting or continuing college at Jefferson Community College (JCC) can register for upcoming 2026 academic terms including summer session, fall semester, and winter session. Registration is open!

Summer session consists of condensed courses that can be completed in 3- to 8 weeks with varying class times. The earliest session begins May 26, 2026. Most summer session courses are offered in a variety of online formats, with the exception of in-person lab science classes. Summer session classes wrap up by August 7, 2026. 

Fall semester classes – both full semester and early session (8-week) classes begin August 24, 2026. The application window is open for scholarships through the Jefferson Foundation and the Excelsior Scholarship Program. The Jefferson Foundation awards over 250 scholarships annually to students with awards ranging from $100 up to the full cost of tuition. The Excelsior Scholarship provides free tuition to students from families earning $125,000 or less. To start the financial aid process, students, including adults returning to higher education, should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA application window is currently open. Fall semester courses are offered in multiple formats to fit today’s busy schedules:

• Online asynchronous (no set meeting time, students submit work according to the deadlines set in the course syllabus)
• Online synchronous (live virtual classes)
• Hybrid (a combination of online and on-campus instruction)
• In-person 

Winter session consists of condensed courses offered online beginning December 14, 2026, and wrapping up by January 15, 2027.    

Jefferson offers more than 50 academic and workforce training programs and services to help students succeed. Prior learning credit is awarded for military and professional experience. Individuals who have been out of college for three years or more and have a GPA below 2.0 may request an academic fresh start. Furthermore, Jefferson offers on-campus childcare for children aged 18 months to 5 years through Campus Care, a New York State-licensed facility. Financial aid may be available to cover childcare fees, making it easier for parents to pursue their education.

New, transfer, and family members of military-affiliated individuals should contact Enrollment Services at (315) 786-2347 or submit the free online application to get started. Current JCC students can register for classes online through MyJCC. Course offerings and schedules are available for viewing online. Applying for admission is free!

Summer Session 2026

• Special session classes begin May 26, 2026.   
• Eary Session (4-week classes): June 1, 2026 - June 29, 2026 
• Full Session (8-week classes): June 1, 2026 – July 28, 2026
• Late Session (4-week classes): July 6, 2026 – July 31, 2026 
• Summer session wrap up by August 7, 2026. 

Fall Semester 2026

• Early Session (8-week classes): August 24, 2026-October 15, 2026
• Full semester: August 24, 2026
• Late Session (8-week classes): October 19, 2026-December 11, 2026

Winter Session 2026

• Full Session (4-week classes): December 14, 2026-January 15, 2027
