Next Retail Training Cohort to Begin October 22

Jefferson Community College (JCC) Workforce Development and Business Division (WDBD) will continue to offer retail job training that leads to industry-recognized credentials from the National Retail Federation (NRF). Training is free and made possible by a New York State Department of Labor grant. The next 3-week cohort will begin October 22, 2018.Retail sales, food service, and hotels and hospitality are areas covered during training. Classes will meet on JCC’s campus Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Transportation and childcare assistance are available.
Anyone thinking about pursuing an entry-level position in the retail industry, or those who have retail experience and would like to advance their skills, are encouraged to apply. Upon completion, participants will earn industry recognized credentials from the National Retail Federation (NRF). The NRF sponsors the Rise Up program, which is supported by Walmart, Kohl’s, Lowes, the Home Depot, Target, and Tractor Supply Company, among others. Transportation and childcare assistance is provided, as necessary.
