Jefferson Community College was awarded $980,000 from Governor Cuomo's latest round of New York State Regional Economic Development Council funds.
Jefferson Community College (JCC) is one of four SUNY institutions to receive a portion of a SUNY Impact Grant totaling $70,400 to expand tutoring services, transfer opportunities, and other support services.
Jefferson Community College (JCC) has been selected to receive $18,350 to complete a campus tree inventory and create a tree management plan through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Urban and Community Forestry Program.
Jefferson Community College (JCC) Workforce Development and Business Division (WDBD) will continue to offer retail job training that leads to industry-recognized credentials from the National Retail Federation (NRF). Training is free and made possible by a New York State Department of Labor grant. The next 3-week cohort will begin October 22, 2018. Retail sales, food service, and hotels and hospitality are areas covered during training. Classes will meet on JCC's campus Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Transportation and childcare assistance are available.
