Student Trustee Elected to JCC Board of Trustees, Alessio Caruana

2025-2026 Student Trustee

Alessio Caruana (right), Belgium, has been elected by the student body at Jefferson Community College (JCC) to serve as student trustee on the JCC Board of Trustees for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Caruana is currently pursuing a major in Individual Studies at Jefferson while preparing for a future career in psychology. As a sophomore student, he  serves as a resident assistant (RA) in East Hall and is a proud member of the men’s soccer team. Furthermore, Caruana has been named to the Dean’s List every semester and is a member of Jefferson’s Tau Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. 

In addition to his campus involvement, Caruana is bilingual, speaking both English and Dutch fluently, and he also has knowledge of Italian and French.

While Caruana has attended Board of Trustee meetings virtually during the summer months, his first official in-person board meeting is September 3, 2025.
