SUNY Workforce Development Grant | Custom Training for Businesses

Published: March 17, 2023

Thanks to a State University of New York (SUNY) Workforce Development Training Grant, Jefferson Community College (JCC) is offering local businesses a 75% discount on customized training for their employees in areas including, but not limited to, technology, office management and organizational skills. Additionally, in many cases, the College can accommodate specific requests from employers. Customized training can bridge the professional and technical skills gap and meet the specific demands of North Country employers.

Sixteen (16) Jefferson and Lewis County employers have already taken advantage of this skill building opportunity for their employees and will be offering beginner, intermediate and advanced Microsoft Excel training.

Funding for discounted workforce training is administered by the SUNY System Administration’s Office of Community Colleges and the Education Pipeline with support from the Finance and Budget Office, Counsel’s Office, Office of Governmental Relations, and Provost’s Office.

To learn more about how JCC can help your business, call the Workforce Development office at 315-786-2233, email ced@sunyjefferson.edu or visit www.SUNYJefferson.edu/training.
