Price Match Award Guarantee
We know Jefferson is the best choice to help you earn your degree and work toward a successful career. We also understand living on campus involves additional costs for students, so we’ve developed a price match guarantee for those students. If another college beats our pricing, we’ll match it! Let’s look at the details – eligibility criteria, award limits and all the fine print.
Who is Eligible?
New-to-Jefferson students (incoming and transfer) who live on campus: While the award can renew each semester if the student maintains additional criteria, it is initially eligible for students who are new to Jefferson, whether incoming as a first-year student or a student who is transferring into Jefferson.
How Do You Maintain Eligibility?
Students must remain living on campus and maintain good standing both academically and behaviorally.
How Do You Apply?
The student is responsible for providing documentation to the Jefferson Recruiter, as well as providing the cost of the other college that they are asking Jefferson to match. Here’s what the Recruiter needs to receive from the student:
- Letter of acceptance from the other college which displays the student's name
- Documentation of the cost of the other college (ie. Financial aid award letter with net cost breakdown – financial aid counselors can provide this)
Review and Award Process
The Recruiter will review the documentation to determine actual cost comparisons. If accepted, the Recruiter will determine the price match award amount. Recruiter then coordinates the award with Jefferson leadership and notifies the student of the award amount.
Award Amounts
The Recruiter will recommend the award amount based on the net costs at the competing college, which will have been proven by the student. Depending on the cost of the competing college, Jefferson may award up to $500 per semester to match or beat that college’s cost. If the cost of the competing college exceeds $500 per semester, Jefferson may award up to $4000 per academic year.
