Registration Deadline Extended To February 28 for Allied Health Training
Published: January 26, 2022
Deadline to register for Jefferson Community College (JCC) precertification allied health training is extended to February 28, 2022. Workshops will begin in March 2022.
JCC’s allied health training provides individuals with the necessary foundational knowledge to become eligible to sit for the national certification exam in each respective allied health area. Candidates who hold nationally recognized allied health certification demonstrate a level of commitment to the field and certification helps those currently employed in the field to build their healthcare career. Certification is provided by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), the largest allied health certification agency in the United States and American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) who has more than 103,000 members and 52 affiliated component state associations.
MyCAA funding for military spouses is accepted. There are no prerequisites for JCC’s allied health training and anyone may apply. Training, a combination of lecture and hands-on applied learning, is a short three to five month commitment with classes meeting twice a week during evenings.
For more information about JCC’s allied health training, call the JCC Workforce Development office at (315) 786-2233 or email ced@sunyjefferson.edu.
