  • The Center for Community Studies (Center) at Jefferson Community College has completed its 26th Annual North Country Survey of the Community. Additionally, for the first time in their more than quarter-century of public opinion research in Northern New York, the Center completed a statewide sample including all 62 counties, using their longitudinal annual omnibus survey instrument, providing a much deeper understanding and perspective surrounding North Country results.

  • The Center for Community Studies (CCS) at Jefferson Community College completed its annual North Country Current Issues Survey. In the study, a total of 1,902 adult residents were surveyed from the four-county region including Jefferson, Lewis, Oswego, and St. Lawrence Counties between April 8 through April 17, 2025.

  • The Center for Community Studies (CCS) at Jefferson Community College will host a presentation titled, "Towards Better Health Security: Investments in Infectious Disease Surveillance Systems After the Covid-19 Pandemic" on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. The presentation is free and open to the public, with three viewing options.

  • The Center for Community Studies (CCS) at Jefferson Community College has completed its annual North Country Current Issues Survey. In the study, a total of 1,402 adult residents from the tri-county region were surveyed. The study included questions pertaining to diversity, equity, and inclusion, housing, childcare, recreation, food security and access, services in one's community, and workforce and economic issues.

  • According to recent data from the Center for Community Studies (CCS), about one quarter of North Country adults are hesitant to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Partnering with the Public Health Department in the Falk School of Sport and the Human Dynamic at Syracuse University, the CCS set out to better understand knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions regarding the pandemic and vaccine hesitancy.
